I spent three lovely days working with the children and staff of Evesham Nursery school in their idyllic forest school site. It's been a few weeks since I was last at the Brickworks. On my last visit, I left the largest completed vessel unwrapped to allow the bricks to dry and shrink. Quite a dramatic effect I think you'll agree? I love the tones and colour displayed by the uneven drying - the darker bricks at the bottom are still quite damp whilst the 'white' ones at the top are nearly dry enough for firing.

Gemma completed a series of after-school workshops in Evesham recently, working with parents and children at both St Richard's and Simon De Montfort schools. Coil-pot figures provided the theme, with everyone creating their own masterpiece - check out these fabulous examples. Bilston's fantastic new Leisure Centre is nearing completion. The Art for Architecture scheme ensures that at least 1% of funds are used to commission artworks for the new-build. Westfield School in Leominster employs Jon 'the potter' on an occasional basis to work with their students.This time, leaves were the order of the day. We've been running adult potter's wheel workshops here in Eastnor for the past 15 years. Although we have always offered tea and fresh coffee, up until January this year, participants have had to provide their own packed lunch. The annual 'community Christmas lunch' at Brearley Nursery School in Birmingham attracted lots of famillies.
